Description – FRANCAIS:
L’inspiration pour cette toile m’est venue en écoutant l’album Happy Time (1962) du pianiste Junior Mance, et plus particulièrement la chanson « Taggie’s Tune ».
La composition montre des silhouettes noires traversées de signes, de fragments et de figures colorées, flottant dans un vaste espace blanc.
Chaque silhouette semble dialoguer avec les autres – comme un échange de jazz entre le pianiste et son contrebassiste Ron Carter, dans une improvisation pleine d’énergie et d’équilibre.
Description – ENGLISH:
The inspiration for this painting came while listening to Happy Time (1962) by pianist Junior Mance, and especially the piece “Taggie’s Tune.”
The composition reveals black silhouettes crossed by signs, fragments, and colorful figures, all floating in a vast white space.
Each silhouette seems to converse with the others — like a jazz dialogue between the pianist and his bassist Ron Carter, in an improvisation filled with energy and balance.
